Jubilee Tennis – Monday 4 June, 10am - midday
The Club has been invited to join the village’s jubilee celebrations and we will be holding an open tennis session on Monday 4th June with free coaching and use of the ball machine from 10-12. We are particularly encouraging non-members so if you have any friends or family who have not joined but you would like to have a hit with, please bring them down to join in the fun.
Black Tie Bash – September 15
On Saturday 15th September we are having an evening of dinner and dancing at the Beetle & Wedge in Moulsford. It will start at 7.30pm with bubbles and canapés, hopefully on the beautiful terrace overlooking the river, followed by a three course dinner and a disco. Tickets are £45 per person, which will cover our costs – this is a social event, not a fundraiser. A coach from Benson Parish Hall car park will depart at 7.15pm and return at midnight, costing £5-8 per head depending on numbers. Dress code is black tie. We only have 80 tickets available for this event, so don't hang about, book yours now. BTC Kit
We now have samples in all adult sizes for our wonderful new Club fleeces which cost just £20 per each (the junior ones are coming shortly). It’s just the weather for selling them! You are welcome to come and try on samples on at club night – ask the person on duty to hook out the samples in the store room - and place your order using the attached form. We will only order enough fleeces for those people who have pre-ordered, so be sure to reserve yours as soon as possible.
American Tournament – 24 June, 10am - midday
The first American Mixed Tournament took place on Sunday – they are held on the last Sunday of the month – and was great fun with awesome trophies, sweet prizes and even an award for the Best Shot of the Day. Congratulations to all our worthy winners, there will be a full write up on the website shortly. The next AT will be on Sunday 24 June from 10am, after that it’s 29 July and 26 August. We need 16 players for each event and there are still places available - to reserve your spot email j.c.lloyd@ reading.ac.uk
Singles League - starts June
There is still time to enter this summer’s singles league, which will start in June and run for two months. There are mixed and ladies only divisions, and it is open to all adult players whatever your standard of play. To enter please email David Roy at btc.singles.league@ gmail.com as soon as possible, and by 30th May at the latest. Players will be notified of the divisions soon after.
